A brief history of Courtesy Coaches / Yelloway
Yelloway is essentially a surface transport consultancy based in Manchester but has its own licensed vehicle fleet operating throughout the UK.
We operate and, provide ground transport solutions to corporate entities and discerning individuals. We have a genuine 24/7 management structure, with experience in many branches of industry.
How things have moved on with the times. Back in 1911 the first Yelloway coach arrived in Devon with a crowd of excited holiday makers, one of which was 13 year old Gracie Fields. Yelloway made over 200 daily trips to destinations such as Torquay during the heyday between the 50's and early 70's. Since the take over of Yelloway Motor Services by Courtesy Coaches Ltd there has been a radical rebranding of its fleet of modern luxury coaches.
Yelloway operate regular day trips suitable for all ages at competitive prices. With a vast customer data base and with a large number of regular travellers we have managed to hold our prices down for 2012.
Destinations include: Blackpool, Fleetwood, Chester, Llandudno, Llangollen, Scarborough, Alton Towers, Whitby, Buxton, Southport, Harrogate and York.
Courtesy Coaches were established in 1972 by the current Managing Director's (Mark Brook) parents Jean and Eric Brook. Initially based in Woodhouses, Failsworth then moving to Werneth, Oldham and finally to Stock Lane. Chadderton. The company initially operated a number of Mercedes minibuses and two large coaches. Sadly Jean died in 2001 and Eric decided to retire from full time employment.
